Educational System based on Memorization
I often talk with teachers, professors, teachers, instructors; where we share the shortcomings of the modern educational system, the limitations that they themselves present at the time of teaching and training their students. As their respective improvements, not all is bad.
The moment I decided to change my lifestyle, I realized that the education I received was of no use to me, well, it was of some use to me; to realize that it is of no use. Why is it no use? Because it did not give me freedom, the educational system is a factory of people where the best option is to obey.
That is where my dislike for this whole process that we are practically forced to go through comes from. And I am not saying that education is bad, without it we would be nothing, I am referring to the education system as such. Where it is more important for the student to memorize information than to learn the information intellectually.
The different qualities that the intellect possesses are ignored, or rather, the different qualities that the intellect possesses are left aside and only memory is used. Comprehension, analysis, understanding, imagination, affectivity, and of course memorization are some of the qualities of the intellect, just to name a few.
Failures in the Teaching and Learning PROCESS
In this change of life that I mentioned at the beginning, I have understood that the teaching and learning process has difficulty in helping to define the purpose, the usefulness, and the results to be obtained from what is learned. There is a lack of teaching to discriminate the information.
The problem created by the educational system divides society into two groups: those who learn by heart and those who learn with their intellect. In other words, those who learn without purpose and those who learn with purpose. Or rather, those who learn to enslave themselves and those who learn to liberate themselves. We want to put everyone in the first group.
Knowledge oriented and learned with the intellect has more lasting advantages; the opposite of rote knowledge, which has immediate results, immediate advantages, but fleeting in the long run.
You yourselves are witnesses of this, how many hours did you have to go over a subject until you memorized it and got the presentation or the evaluation right? and now you remember nothing. But how easily you remember what you enjoyed.
Now you will say, “What I learned and remembered didn’t do me any good.
Well, it didn’t do you any good because they didn’t teach you how to use it in your passion. They reinforced and continue to reinforce the subjects you don’t like.
Who gets reinforcement in math because they like it? Most people get reinforcement because they don’t do well in math. And why don’t they do well? Because they don’t like the subject. And it’s not just math, that’s one example, but math is the most common example. This happens in all areas where people don’t do well, they do reinforcement, they pay for private tutoring in the areas they don’t like. Just with the intention of improving their grades.
This significantly impairs the performance as a UNIQUE and AUTHENTIC BEING. Massively creating many slaves of consumerism, conformism and routine.
The solution to this problem that the educational system has created is a bit difficult, I think it is difficult. And I am very optimistic.
Why do I find it difficult? Because this change has to start at home. And where is it difficult? Well, our parents were educated with the same system that we were educated with and that we are educating our children with. Add to that the very early entry of children into the educational system, because parents have to earn an income and need their child to be cared for and guided by other people. And on top of that, those parents who are tired of their routine supplement their children’s education with screens.
What I have just said will seem crazy to many. But it is so, from our home comes the solution to this educational problem.
But the educational system is very comfortable because parents find it adequate. Parents help their children to do the same thing over and over again. They help them memorize in order to pass on the spot. They reinforce the information so that their children achieve or have a “normal” life: study, good grades, university, good grades, work, good performance, promotion, good results, pension, stability (the so-called and longed for stability).

I have oriented, shared, and conversed with countless professionals. Both new graduates as well as veterans in their profession.
These people who are supposedly ready, ready to either start work, to start entrepreneurship, or to continue their professional work; most of them do not know how to act on their own, and many of them do not feel who they think they are. Their aspirations are so vague that we can say they have no dreams at all.
Everything looks like a catwalk of diplomas.
I apologize if I am a bit harsh or very offensive to some ways of thinking, but it is all to help you grow and become aware. That is my intention in sharing this kind of content.
I am not judging people who, with or without effort, got their education. That costs money, but it costs more to continue without awakening. To continue to display professional titles without giving yourself the opportunity to know the full potential you have.
They tell you: Be obedient, learn this and that, speak this, do that, don’t do that, rest on holidays, consume, take care of your job, save, don’t damage your retirement, work, don’t give your opinion, rest on weekends, buy entertainment, you deserve it, this is what you work for, etc, etc, etc.
This may also seem crazy, but this is how they keep you in control and ignorance. And it’s all because of the way we are educated.
Read, open your mind, do not let your education and the education of your family be in the hands of third parties. The third parties are not the teachers, most of them are also upset with these processes of the education system, but they can’t do anything, they are doing their best. They have to feed their families.
I have quoted this sentence by Karl Popper many times:
“True ignorance is not the absence of knowledge, but the refusal to acquire it.
Learn to unlearn, analyze the information for yourself, when you study a subject evaluate if it is useful for your growth. Do not fill yourself with information just to fill yourself, go on an information diet, too much junk information damages the mind. If you are selective with the information you learn, you will learn it with your intellect. Because it is what you like, it is what you really want to learn, that is where all the learning capabilities are activated.
Real knowledge” has been mistakenly defined as repeating information verbatim. That is what they want, human machines with memorized information. And it is not only in schools, this occurs in all areas of education, even in religion this problem is found.
I recommend a documentary that Jurgen Klaric made about education, called: A Crime Called Education. Watch the documentary, it has some interesting stuff in it. Everything is a learning system that wants short term benefits.
Conclusion and Advice for a better Education
Study, learn, inquire, investigate, research, fail, strive, with and for passion; not to follow and remain in a line of empty generations. Prepare yourself with love, not just for the sake of having a degree. Choose your vocation because it is the activity that makes you feel good, not because it makes good money or to achieve retirement.
The best education is self-education, and everyone should take advantage of every option and opportunity to learn something useful and valid. It doesn’t matter where, whether in a university or in the field.
All this is not to focus only on the question of whether the education system is good or not. But to be able to deduce with criteria if the knowledge you receive today gives you the skills corresponding to the world of today, the world of tomorrow.
